Scott Bartz

Scott Bartz embarked on a career as an independent journalist thanks to the support of Johnson & Johnson’s human resources and security personnel who encouraged him to seek a new line of work as they escorted him from the company’s premises on the morning he returned from a “secret” meeting with government prosecutors investigating allegations of Medicaid fraud at J&J. His fulltime career as a writer was precipitated by his work as the co-author of “United States of America, ex rel. Scott Bartz, vs. Johnson & Johnson, et al.” (Case 1:11-cv-10316-RGS). Bartz has served as an expert consultant to several states’ attorneys general offices and the Department of Justice on matters related to Medicaid fraud. He was a consultant to Kathleen Sharp for her new book, Blood Feud: The Man Who Blew the Whistle on One of the Most Dangerous Prescription Drug Ever.
