Two Sought in Sahray Barber Abduction

Mar 17, 2015 - 0 Comments

Two sought in the Sahray Barber disappearance from her Southern California home earlier this month are still at large and so far unnamed.

Police strongly suspect the missing woman, 22, was abducted and that whatever befell her is related to the violent crime spree now occurring on the campus she lives across from.

In the past few weeks Cal State San Bernardino has been experiencing a series of assaults on its female students, and the University’s president, Tomas Morales, has stepped up security as a result.

Most if not all of these attacks were sexually motivated and some did in fact involve attempted kidnappings.

Prior to this outbreak, Cal State’s beleaguered San Bernardino campus was ranked one of the safest in California, according to President Morales. He calls the current crisis “incredibly disturbing.”

MISSING: Sahray Barber

Sahray Barber was supposed to be at work the day she went missing. She never showed, and when police investigated the young woman’s uncharacteristic absence days later, they found her cell phone and laptop “placed” in the bushes outside her front door.

But there was “no sign of struggle,” police noted.

The inquiry into Ms. Sahray’s sudden disappearance now includes a detailed analysis of those oddly discarded devices, as well as a statewide manhunt for two unknown suspects.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to call the San Bernardino Police Department at 909-384-5742.
