Blood Moon Murder and Dismemberment (arrest)

Apr 5, 2015

In the glow of a Blood Moon someone dumped a duffle bag filled with human body parts in front of a Massachusetts biotechnologies building, then vamoosed.

Hours later an astonished employee of Biogen Incorporated discovered the grisly package upon arriving for work in the morning, and contacted the authorities.

Biogen’s Cambridge Mass. facility is actually only a block from the police station and very close as well to both Harvard Square and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, making the bold crime even more daring.

But, although cloaked in the subdued  light of a lunar eclipse, the stealthy perpetrator was nevertheless apprehended almost immediately, since his actions had been captured on a number of surveillance cameras.

Investigators were then led to more dismembered remains at a nearby apartment building where the unidentified subject is believed to reside, and detectives working the case now state that all of the severed parts belong to just one victim.

The motive for that individual’s murder and mutilation is a mystery, too. However, "we're confident this was not a random act,” Cambridge police commissioner Robert Haas assured frightened citizens, adding that “there is no threat to the public's safety.”

Whoever the mysterious UnSub is then, they’ll be arraigned tomorrow at the district courthouse and charged with being an accessory “after the fact” to assault-and-battery, in addition to causing major bodily harm and improperly disposing of a corpse.

That leaves open the possibility of an accomplice or accomplices still at large, but officials refuse to provide any other case details “at this time.”

The identity of the Blood Moon murder victim has also not been released, pending further inquiry into the circumstances of their bizarre demise and notification of next of kin.
