Body Found in Marsh Is Likely Tyler Berg - Minnesota

Nov 30, 2015

Police confirm a body found in a Minnesota marsh during Sunday’s search for Tyler Berg is that of “an adult male.”

Tyler Berg searchers find body

Volunteers spanned out in dense and swampy brush-land yesterday morning, finally coming across a corpse later in the afternoon that, very likely, is the missing 24-year-old college student.

The area his body was found in is right off I-94, in the vicinity of Monticello where Berg’s black Mercury Cougar had earlier been discovered abandoned at a country club.

A police spokesman said the county coroner is still trying to determine the victim’s cause and manner of death and will confirm his identity shortly.

Tyler Berg was last seen alive on November 22nd at his St. Cloud residence -- some 30 minutes from where searchers discovered his car and clothing near Otter Creek Park last Monday.

Berg’s loved ones previously stated he had no known ties to that specific locale and they didn’t have any idea what he could have been doing there.

The Monticello Country Club does sport a golf course, however, and the missing young man is reportedly an avid golfer.
