#BREAKING NEWS: Los Angeles police confirm Bruce Jenner faces possible manslaughter charges for the fatal multicar crash he caused on a Malibu freeway last winter.
In February the ex Olympian killed a motorist by following her vehicle too closely and failing to stop in time, creating a deadly domino-effect that sent Kim Howe’s sedan into oncoming traffic and her to an instant death.
“The case will be presented next week to the district attorney's office for a possible misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charge,” a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told reporters for USA Today.
Jenner, 65, has already been sued by his victim’s next of kin as well as another injured woman who survived the accident, and now he stands a good chance of being charged with vehicular homicide as well.
According to the incident report, the celebrity suspect was driving his Cadillac within the normal speed limit and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, yet he was still traveling too fast and too close behind Howe’s smaller vehicle for the wintry conditions present that day.
None of the other motorists involved in the resulting pileup which led to the wrongful death of Kim Howe were found to be responsible for the initial collision.
The four-car crash #Jenner caused from carelessness not only killed Howe on impact with a Hummer in the opposite lane, but also saw seven more drivers and passengers hospitalized for injuries.
However, Los Angeles County’s district attorney can quietly choose not to prosecute Bruce Jenner -- a travesty of justice which often happens when prominent people are named as defendants.
