Former teen idol David Cassidy (shown below) has been busted again -- this time for leaving the scene of an accident in Florida last month.

Cassidy, now 65, has already pled guilty to a slew of alcohol-related driving violations in recent years, in what looks to be a decline mirroring that of his deceased celebrity father, Jack.
In 1976, the charred remains of Jack Cassidy were found at his Hollywood home following a weeks-long drunken binge, years of psychiatric breakdowns, and increasingly “erratic” behavior in the months leading up to his death.
The fatal fire that claimed his life was originally thought to be suspicious, but determined later to have been set by the actor himself when he passed out on a couch while smoking a cigarette.

Before he perished in that inferno, Cassidy’s photogenic teen son, David, had already been given a lead role beside the boy’s megastar stepmother, Shirley Jones, in the musical sitcom ‘The Partridge Family.’
That famed television series quickly made the young David Cassidy a star himself, but he has never been able to match his early career success.
Cassidy is expected to appear in a Broward County court later this month to answer to charges of driving with a suspended license and expired tags, making illegal lane changes, and leaving the scene of an accident to avoid a sobriety test.
