Astronomical explainers are insisting the blinding Bangkok sky blast during Monday's rush-hour was NOT caused by an alien spacecraft exploding midair, as is currently the popular notion.
“The public need not be concerned,” professional stargazers wish to assure those with rattled nerves.”This is a normal phenomenon.”
Dashcam video of the fiery event over Thai’s capitol today has gone viral on the Internet, and so too the belief that the brilliant but boggling explosion was caused by an imploding #UFO.
But the general consensus of astronomers who studied Bangkok’s celestial *happening* state that it was “most probably” a huge space rock, not the extraterrestrial invasion that people worldwide are either hoping for or fearing.
Moreover, says the nation’s top celestial #explainer Worawit Tanwutthibundit, “it’s all burned away. The photo of the white smoke that has been shared a lot is in fact the train of smoke of a meteor.”
Whatever the object was before it dramatically dematerialized over #Bangkok airspace, it was traveling toward Earth at approximately 50 miles-per-second!
