Fake Cop Arrested for Trying to Arrest Real Cop (Ohio)

Aug 6, 2015

A fake cop arrested for trying to arrest a real cop in Ohio on Sunday night had suspiciously tricked-out his own vehicle with a flashing band of red and blue emergency lights.

Howard Maldonado was apprehended by legit patrolmen a few minutes later, after his thoroughly flummoxed but totally unconvinced victim -- an off duty officer -- reported the suspect for impersonation.

According to the criminal complaint, the 42-year-old accused cop impersonator wasn’t wearing a police uniform, but nevertheless “repeatedly” insisted he was an actual lawman.

His intent for perpetrating such a hoax, and how many other motorists might have been duped by it, is still being investigated.

In the meantime, Maldonado is behind bars and faces misdemeanor charges for his very stupid crime.
