A physically abusive nanny in Danbury Connecticut now faces 15 additional criminal counts, after a hidden camera exposed more incidents of her assaulting her defenseless young charges.
Lidia Quilligana is already behind bars for the beating and then burning a 3-year-old girl on the family’s kitchen stove, but the newly-discovered secret video reveals similar violence against other children in the home -- two infant twins.
Quilligana, 32, was originally arrested in March 2015 and faced felony counts related to a single incident of first-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor, and criminal mischief.
The new evidence, however, shows that there was a great deal more abuse involved against that very same child victim, as well as the unnamed girl’s younger siblings.
The abusive nanny has pleaded not guilty to all charges in the case, and is currently being held in a Connecticut detention facility in lieu of $1-million bail.
