Police investigating the murder of Heather Ciccone last weekend in Spotsylvania Virginia are seeking the public’s help in deciphering a mysterious clue that could identify her killer.
The 21-year-old blonde was shot to death in her car “execution style” on December 6th, just days after disclosing in a Facebook update that she was being stalked by a romantic rival.
Detectives say she had been called upon by “a female friend” for roadside assistance on the evening that she died, and evidence suggests that whoever shot her in the back of the head had been a trusted passenger.
The next morning Ciccone’s lifeless body was discovered in her 2010 silver Kia -- the murderer had discreetly parked it in a stranger’s driveway then fled the crime scene.
Now cops want to talk to anyone who saw that vehicle before she made her fatal rendezvous; because someone scrawled graffiti on the rear window and they need to know who wrote it and when.
“I [heart] you,” the message reads, followed by a winking smiley face.
Heather Ciccone was gunned down at close range with a “small caliber” handgun, but other “crucial” details uncovered in the “ongoing” probe of her death have been sealed now, including search warrants.
Hers was a cowardly and “intentionally perpetrated, execution-style homicide,” with elements of luring and betrayal strongly implied -- all those with info that can help solve it are urged to contact the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Department at (540) 507-7200.
