#FINDERSKEEPERS – a New Jersey man stole a big bag of cash two tellers left at an ATM, after the dimwitted bank employees became distracted while filling the cash-dispensing machine.
Their abandoned satchel contained over $150,000 and was inadvertently placed on the lawn beside a Mahwah ATM yesterday morning as the pair shuffled items in the back of their vehicle to make room for it, then drove off.
At around 11 a.m. on the same morning, a guy in a white van pulled up to the bank, noticed the greenbacks just sitting in the grass, and, naturally, took them.
Area surveillance footage then showed the suspect making a pit-stop at a nearby auto-repair shop to pinch some tires. Items which, by then, he could’ve easily afforded.
It’s impossible to say who in this very stupid crime sequence is actually dumber though, the perpetrator or his victims.
According to investigators, he’s still at large and they’re “fully cooperating.”
