Her disabled 2007 Honda Odyssey was spotted in a creek bed the next day less than a mile from that destination.

The body of Ms. Hastings was found dead inside the vehicle with “obvious” signs of “homicidal violence” on it, a police spokesman revealed during today’s press conference.

He said “a young man” had summoned passing motorists to the crime scene yesterday, but, when they stopped to investigate, the youth abruptly ran off without identifying himself.

One of those witnesses said she immediately recognized that Zoe Hastings had been a victim of “foul play,” although the nature of her wounds and her cause of death hasn’t been fully disclosed yet.

No suspects in the Hastings disappearance and homicide have been named at this time, Texas officials also indicated.

Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives at 214-671-3584, or Crime Stoppers at 214-737-TIPS.
