Missing student Connor Sullivan was last sighted on Monta Vista High School grounds in Cupertino California on Monday morning and, despite an all-out hunt to find the 17-year-old triathlete, he hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
A number of Sullivan’s classmates have been questioned this week, and rescue parties canvassed nearby waterways as well, but thus far there’s been no luck in solving the mystery.
"We've been all over the bridge, we went all the way to the back side of the dam, looking of course in the water and everywhere and calling his name," said one frustrated volunteer searcher.
Sullivan’s disappearance is extremely unusual, according to his parents, teachers and friends, and even stranger still is that the popular teen’s cell phone has gone dead.
"He's a quiet leader, and everyone very much respects him,” his track coach said of the missing student. “This is just unforeseen, just absolutely out of the blue."
Connor Sullivan is approximately 5-feet-5 and 150 pounds. He is believed to be wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and blue-and-white tennis shoes. He may also be carrying a dark-colored backpack with a smaller matching athletic bag.
Although “foul play is not suspected” in Sullivan’s missing person case, police are nevertheless asking anyone with information about it to immediately contact Santa Clara County law enforcement, or 911.
