The bound and murdered woman left ablaze on train tracks in Bridgewater Massachusetts last week has been identified as “wild child” Ashley Bortner of New Jersey.

No missing persons report appears to have been filed for the slain 29-year-old whose mother told reporters she hadn’t seen her daughter in at least three years, despite regular phone contact.

“She’s always staying with different people,” Tamara Pack also disclosed over the weekend.

Bortner’s movements leading up to her homicide and immolation are being investigated. However, a police spokesman said the eighth-grade dropout was clearly “targeted.”

Records indicate that Ashley Bortner has been a Massachusetts resident since 2012 and is survived by a 13-year-old son who she long ago left in the care and custody of her estranged parent.

Bortner’s burning body was discovered by first responders around midnight on Tuesday when a 911 caller reported a suspicious vehicle with three people in it parking beside the railroad tracks and “dumping something.”

Police suspect the victim was killed “at another location” and her corpse transported there and set on fire to destroy evidence. A medical examiner is now trying to determine her cause and manner of death.
