A suspect in Monday’s fatal Philly hit-and-run who injured a young woman and killed her toddler son is still at large, and the Philadelphia Police Department is asking for your help in apprehending them.
As an added incentive, the original reward of $10,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the driver and his accomplice has just been doubled.
The deadly incident occurred on April 13, 2015 at approximately 7:00 PM near the corner of Mascher Street and Lehigh Avenue in Philadelphia, and was partially captured on surveillance video.
Both victims were crossing the street when a white Infinity sailed through the crosswalk, struck them, and then fled the scene.
The 19-year-old pedestrian and her two-year-old son were rushed to hospital, but, while the young woman was released in fair condition days later, her boy did not recover from his traumatic injuries.
She remained at the child’s bedside until he died yesterday morning.
Police believe the fatal Philly hit-and-run was perpetrated by two Caucasian or light-skinned Hispanic males driving a now-damaged white four-door sedan. The 2007 vehicle is also equipped with a moon roof.
They say not to approach the men if sighted but to call 911 instead. Tips can also be phoned in at 215-686-TIPS (8477) and/or text messaged to PPD TIP or 773847.
