A sadistic veterinarian who posted a bragging selfie on Facebook showing the carcass of a healthy stray tom whom she deliberately shot through the head with a bow and arrow is now being investigated for animal cruelty.
The caption under the troubling photo -- which includes cat and smiley emoticons -- reads, “My first bow kill LOL. The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through it’s [sic] head. Vet of the year award gladly accepted.”
For her inconceivably heinous act, Dr. Kristen Lindsey was also immediately fired from the Texas veterinary hospital where she works, and, by week’s end, her name on its sign was completely obliterated.
"We are absolutely appalled, shocked, upset, and disgusted by the conduct," the Washington Animal Clinic said, in a statement released on its website. "We do not allow such conduct and we condemn it in the strongest possible manner."

Even the local sheriff, who’s undoubtedly seen it all in his tenure, was shocked by her heartless crime and frightening lack of conscience: "This kind of stuff shouldn't happen in our society," he said. "It's a very sad thing."
Records indicate the disturbed doc has only been a licensed vet since 2012, so this is obviously her first known violation, but working with domestic animals is clearly not the right profession for a coldblooded killer of cats.
Authorities say the murdered feline’s felon will be brought in for questioning early next week, and has already informed them she’ll be accompanied by an attorney.
In the meantime, Kristen Lindsey is justifiably out of a job.
