One Suspect, 74 Identities (all stolen)

Apr 19, 2015

LA officials discovered an aged suspect accused of identity theft has operated under at least 74 different aliases throughout her long life – almost one for every year she’s been alive!

Police finally caught up with Cathryn Parker, 72, during a traffic stop last month in which the elderly woman gave an officer a fake name but a real address.

The gray-haired perp is gainfully employed as well, working for a Hollywood production company where, investigators learned, she’d boldly stolen the financial information of at least seven of her coworkers.

"You have to be dedicated," said astounded detective Daniel Gore about Parker's many crimes and identities. "It's like a way of life. I don't know that there was an end."

Cathryn Parker was originally wanted by California authorities on an outstanding warrant for repeated parole violations connected to a 2000 mail fraud conviction in Hawaii.

Apparently, at that time, she used her position as an employee at Jenny Craig Inc. to illegally access a travel account, purchasing plane tickets at the company’s expense and then reselling them for a significant profit.

U.S. Marshalls have been hunting for Parker ever since she flew the coop. They took her into custody over the weekend.
