Bill Cosby Doth Protest Too Much

May 16, 2015

Over 30 Bill Cosby “rape victims” have now come forward to report sexual assaults dating back decades and which all involved drugging … and yet he would like the public to believe this is just hysteria and coincidence.

That victim list is comprised mainly of starlets whose budding careers Cosby took a special “interest” in, and who each say they were tricked by the famous and respectable-acting comedian into trusting him, to their detriment.

The credibility of those accusations lies in the fact that they’re claiming a pretty distinct pattern of abuse, and that the misconduct itself is hardly uncommon in the entertainment industry.

Where there’s smoke there’s wildfire

Date rape and date rape drugs are nothing new, it’s just that attitudes about sexually assaulting women have dramatically changed in the years that alleged serial rapist Cosby has become an “inactive” predator.

Up until recently he’s chosen to ignore each and every rape allegation -- even waving his hand for silence and walking away during an NPR interview in which he was asked to comment on the sordid subject.

But, as any detective worth his or her paycheck could confirm, stubbornly clamming up, and demanding others shut up too, is a hallmark approach which many a guilty suspect has effectively hidden behind.

“Never seen anything like it”

The statute of limitations for the actor’s alleged sexual attacks have long ago expired, a matter of law that has inspired Team Cosby’s dubious strategy for handling the backlash and late-career setbacks which serial-rape disclosures have caused the aged celebrity.

Still, even though he’s safe from prosecution for those felonies, and excels at double-speak and parsing, Cosby’s forever mired in an epic sex scandal that nobody’s ever seen the likes of before, and that he can’t simply shrug off with publicly indignant protestations.

He’s also facing a number of defamation suits for characterizing his many accusers as vicious liars, whilst not once has he himself bothered to credibly assert he’s innocent of the charges.

Methinks, therefore, Bill Cosby doth protest too much.
