A missing pregnant woman who disappeared Tuesday was scheduled to give birth by cesarean section on the morning she vanished without a trace.
The pregnancy of Carrie Bradshaw Crowther, 49, is considered extremely“high risk” and therefore time is of the essence in finding her now.
North Carolina officials say an older daughter of the missing mom-to-be reported her gone after she vanished en route to a hospital for the necessary operation.
Crowther's eldest daughter, Lauren Lusk, who was transporting her mother for the surgery told WBTV: "I needed gas before we went to the hospital in Charlotte. And then, we were gone about seven or eight minutes -- when we got back she was gone -- nothing was missing, she was just gone."
Carrie Crowther is believed to be driving a light-colored 2001 Mazda minivan with expired plates. Anyone who sees her or knows of her present whereabouts is asked to alert the Salisbury Police Department ASAP at 704-638-5333.
