The terrorist house cat standoff which lasted for hours in Connecticut has ended peacefully after a negotiated truce allowed the furious feline’s humans to reenter their residence.
Law enforcement was required to intervene in the cat-versus-couple conflict, which, according to the terrified owners, likely resulted after the animal gave birth to a small litter somewhere in their home.
Stamford dispatchers received their frantic 911 call concerning the allegedly “aggressive cat” about 1:30 in the morning on Thursday.
In it, the desperate caller -- Mohammed Lokman -- reported that he and his wife were stuck in a car outside their house “for like three or four hours” because an annoyed pet was barring their entry via scratching, biting, and growling.
"I have a problem in my home. I cannot go inside in my home," Lokman said. "My cat was getting too aggressive, and she attacked and scratched me in my leg and bit me. So me and my wife would come outside and now we cannot go inside…"
"You want the police to come and remove the cat?" a bewildered dispatcher then asked the man.
“Yeah … it was coming at me in attack mode.”
Instead of the animal’s arrest though, officers finally ended the terrorist house cat standoff by instructing the Lokmans to go back inside, and to “stay away” from the overly-protective new mother “for the rest of the night.”
