Police are searching for the Port Authority rapist who sexually assaulted a 21-year-old woman in the bus terminal’s parking garage last night.
An image of the suspect was caught on an elevator security camera showing a black man approximately 25 to 30 years of age and about 5-foot-9 and 185 pounds.
He was wearing cornrows, a mustache, and a distinctive American flag-patterned baggy button-up shirt, with white sneakers and denim shorts.
The victim was brutally raped, beaten, and slashed in her face near the 8th Avenue and 42d Street entry/exit, and her attacker is seen on video shortly thereafter examining his hand, so there may be telltale scrapes and bruises on it.
Anyone with information about the Port Authority rapist is urged to alert Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577- 8477, or call 911.
