The search resumes today for two missing teens, Perry Cohen and Austin Stephanos, who disappeared during a fishing trip this weekend near Jupiter Florida.
The pair of 14-year-olds, who are experienced sailing and fishing together, told their families they were intending to spend only a few hours aboard their 19-foot motorboat on Friday.
However, they failed to return at the designated evening hour and have not been seen or heard from since departing at about 1:30 in the afternoon.
Rescuers, including the US Coast Guard, have covered more than 15,000 square nautical miles looking for the two missing teens, and are back out searching again at this hour.
At least one missing boy has had his own vessel since age seven, according to his parent. But that doesn’t guarantee the teens couldn’t still run into trouble -- reportedly they purchased $110 of fuel for the daytrip, so Cohen and Stephanos could have traveled quite a distance by now.
