The bodies of two slain US tourists were dumped in a Philippine well and not discovered there until they began decomposing.
The rotted corpses are those of an American couple in their late fifties who disappeared weeks earlier during what is now thought to have been a violent home invasion.
Philippine police believe that Kevin Fleischauer and his wife Lolly Fleischauer were attacked in the course of a burglary at their vacation residence in Murcia.
Both were then thrown into an open well located on a property close by, where, if they were still alive, the pair likely drowned.

Investigators found the home of the murdered husband and wife broken into and ransacked, with a number of valuables obviously stolen.
A group of the Fleischauers’ fellow churchgoers first noticed they had gone missing and were the ones who discovered the hidden remains of the two slain US tourists on Sunday night.
Authorities are investigating the double homicide and attempted cover up, but no arrests have been made yet.
