Is #BlackLivesMatter Activist Shaun King Another Rachel Dolezal Poser?

Aug 21, 2015

#BlackLivesMatter activist Shaun King is accused of being another Rachel Dolezal poser, after it's been revealed that his birth certificate identifies both of his biological parents as Caucasian.

The latest #blackface sham threatens not only to dethrone another reigning imposter, but to seriously derail the struggle to equalize America’s long-divided races.

King, who like #Dolezal appears to style his hair to achieve a more authentic nonwhite appearance (complete with a pencil mustache), is similarly approaching his black-person impersonation problem too -- by denying it.

And, as with his outed predecessor, he’s also offered a flimsy explanation for the discrepancy between his apparent blackness and his actual white parentage; following in her foolhardy footsteps by “refusing” to acknowledge the scandal that’s about to blow up in his tanned face.

“I refuse to speak in detail about the nature of my mother’s past, or her sexual partners, and I am gravely embarrassed to even be saying this now, but I have been told for most of my life that the white man on my birth certificate is not my biological father and that my actual biological father is a light-skinned black man,” he desperately blogged this week.

Is Black Activist Shaun King Another Rachel Dolezal Poser?

The once prominent #NAACP chapter head herself -- fired from that role this year when, amid intense public scrutiny, she couldn’t maintain her African-American ruse anymore -- never dared liken her skin color controversy to the anti-Obama Birther battle, though.

That’s what *minority* reporter Shaun King has done now as he too slams “racist” and “bigoted” critics for questioning him about his rather questionable black heritage.

What both highly-public blackface shamings do prove, however, is that the #BlackLivesMatter cause has a lot of powerful sympathizers and supporters … many of whom are white.
