This #BREAKING news is developing: A reporter and cameraman gunned down while broadcasting live this morning are both dead of their wounds.
TV correspondent Alison Parker, 24, and her 27-year-old photographer Adam Ward were both filming a piece for WDBJ7 when a gunman approached, killing them and leaving a third station employee injured.
Footage of the interview they were streaming live was disrupted as the camera evidently falls from Ward’s hands and continues recording as it jerks to the ground.
Screams from the victims and panicked onlookers can be heard on the accompanying audiotape.
The incident occurred at Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, Virginia and the shooter is still at large, said a spokesman for the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
No description of the gunman or a motive has been provided yet.
