BREAKING NEWS: A Kentucky clerk today defied the US Supreme Court and the law of the land by continuing to turn down gay couples seeking marriage licenses in Rowan County.
Kim Davis had been refusing to issue same-sex licenses to marry “on religious grounds,” but her appeal to the nation’s highest court challenging their decision this year to legalize such unions was summarily dismissed.
This morning, in continued defiance, Davis has gone to the extreme of breaking the law now and violating every gay citizen’s Constitutional rights in her district, stating she was “following God’s authority.”
According to an AP reporter, one man illegally turned away by the rogue official today told her “we're not leaving until we have a license!” To which the recalcitrant clerk responded: “Then you're going to have a long day.”
