Over 150 schoolgirls at Hillsboro High in Missouri are being criticized this week for claiming they have more right to a girls bathroom than a crossdressing boy does.
In fact, until they’re once more granted safe and sole use of ladies-only lavatories there, the protesters have walked out of classes.
America’s public schools have a long and ugly tradition of heaping disproportionate educational and economic privileges onto their male students at the expense of females, and this latest *battle of the sexes* proves educators still suffer from the mindset.
Because of that historic prejudice, all institutes of learning are now statutorily obligated to uphold the equal rights of schoolgirls, and that necessarily includes ensuring that they’re not only secure in their persons while on campuses, but that they feel secure too.
Thus, separate-but-equal showers and bathrooms are mandatory protections that must be offered both sexes.
Moreover, the concerns of the female student body at Hillsboro High are further validated by the fact that nearly all crossdressing males identify as heterosexual -- not gay -- which still remains the case for the very few who resort to surgery to downplay their masculinity.
In this era of escalating violence against women worldwide, as well as a troubling spike in violent crimes in public and private school settings, it’s criminal to be bullying girls out of any of their hard-won rights.
Even if it’s for a boy in a dress.
