An Army spokesman has announced that the #missing special ops soldier who disappeared during a parachuting exercise in Washington State has been found dead.
The unidentified military trainee was from a unit stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord and had taken part in a daytime sky dive over Mason County Washington, but failed to report upon landing.
A hundred fellow soldiers joined a local search-and-rescue team in scouring the densely wooded area on foot and by plane -- the body of the missing parachuter was found ten hours later, shortly before midnight.
The victim’s age, gender, name and cause of death has not been released yet, pending notification of relatives.
Mission training details are also being withheld as a matter of policy, although the Army’s spokesman stated his belief that it was a relatively routine exercise.
