Five frat bros from NYC’s Baruch College have been charged for the brutal murder-by-hazing of a freshman student while vacationing in Pennsylvania.

Five #PiDeltaPsi Frat Bros Charged with Murder in PA

The handful of Pi Delta Psi suspects to be taken into police custody this week are only part of a group of 37 fraternity men found culpable for either killing Chun ‘Michael’ Deng or covering up his wrongful death.

Deng died in December 2013 during an exceedingly violent hazing ritual known as the “Glass Ceiling” whereby the pledge was blindfolded, weighted with a heavy backpack, and repeatedly tackled football-style.

Prosecutors said that, out of five first-year candidates, he was the one specifically targeted for the most “significant and severe” abuse, but haven’t disclosed the reason for this yet.

“The overall investigation shows that he was singled out and he was treated harsher than the other pledges,” they’ve stated.

When the youth finally lost consciousness, the frat members then dragged him inside their rental property in the Pocono Mountains resort and endeavored to disguise the crime, as he lay dying in their midst.

“At this point, members began to hide paraphernalia and basically put the fraternity's well-being over that of Michael Deng's,” a police spokesman said.

Only three frat brothers eventually did the right thing by taking their victim to the hospital, where Deng nevertheless died about 24 hours later of blunt force trauma to his head, torso and limbs.

All #PiDeltaPsi members present that weekend -- including the frat-house president himself -- were indicted yesterday on charges related to murder, hazing, conspiracy, and hindering prosecution.

Authorities indicated that the additional pending arrests will be made “in waves” now, so as not to overwhelm the court system.
