Philly police seek tips in the brutal mob murder of a 22-year-old transgender woman found shot to death in North Philadelphia this week.
The victim, Kiesha Jenkins, was apparently approached by a group of unidentified males as she was exiting a vehicle, then assaulted by them and left for dead from a gunshot wound.
Police suspect the fatal confrontation was motivated by prejudice, but caution that it’s too soon in their investigation to officially label it a hate crime.
Up to six male suspects are actively being sought for their roles in Ms. Jenkins’ death -- anyone with information is urged to contact the authorities at 215-686-TIPS.
