Ex-pat actor Randy Quaid and wife can’t seem to make up their minds about who’s really after them, and where next they should flee for their lives.
In a movie-script that seems to have lost its plot, the duo was detained by guards at the Canada/Vermont crossing this weekend and accused of illegally attempting to reenter the United States.
The Quaids, who American authorities consider “fugitives from justice” for prior trespassing and vandalism-related offenses, sought “asylum” in Canada in 2010, which they were evidently granted.
At that time, they told Canadian officials they were being pursued by a mysterious group of killers called the “Hollywood Star Whackers” and feared for their safety if they remained in the USA.
Since then, the whacky celebrity couple has been *hiding* in such secret places as Montreal -- where, coincidentally, they’ve also been safe from prosecution by the U.S. on outstanding criminal charges of destroying and “squatting on” private property.
But Friday evening Randy Quaid and his wife Evi suddenly decided to *risk it all* by sneaking back into these badlands, despite the fact that they’re being hunted here by posses of Hollywood hitmen and the law.
They’re now behind bars for their dual act of intrepidness and, as early as Monday morning, face extradition to Santa Barbara California.
