BREAKING: Dennis Hastert to Plead Guilty on Sex Scandal Related Charges -

Oct 15, 2015

BREAKING NEWS: Attorneys for ex house speaker, Dennis Hastert, announced this morning that he will change his former innocent plea and plead guilty instead to sex scandal-related criminal charges.

Hastert was caught red-handed in a hush money scheme that federal prosecutors hinted was related to hiding sexual misconduct he engaged in when he was a teacher several decades ago.

At least two former high school students -- both male -- were said to have been molested by the 73-year-old congressman when he served as their wrestling coach and mentor.

Hastert has never admitted nor denied the accusations of child sex abuse, and further claimed ignorance of banking laws when he sought to pay for one victim’s silence in a series of illegal withdrawals and transfers.

It’s not known yet which of the criminal counts he’ll be admitting to, but a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s office told a judge today that the prosecution and defense “have reached an agreement in principle for him to plead guilty.”

Prior to the sex and fraud scandal that forever sullied his reputation, Dennis Hastert was regarded as a spotless “family values” politician, who often preached about “protecting” children.
