A jury pronounced Shayna Hubers guilty of the shooting death of love-interest Ryan Poston yesterday, requiring only five hours of deliberation to sort through nine long days of gruesome evidence and testimony.
Poston, 29 and a lawyer, was romantically involved with the then 21-year-old Hubers for a brief period, but ultimately decided his relationship with such a volatile and obsessed lover was not what he desired or healthy.
The scorned young woman then shot him six times, including in the face, on the evening he tried to break it off with her, later bragging to police and a cell mate that she “gave him the nose job he always wanted.”
Attorneys for Shayna Huber bogusly argued that their client’s brutal killing of Ryan Poston with his own handgun on October 12, 2012 was not preplanned nor malicious, but, in fact, done in self defense.
But -- happily -- the jurors didn’t buy it.
The defendant will now face sentencing today on her murder conviction.
