Arizona officers encountered the grossest crime scene ever yesterday, when they responded to a call about a naked one-armed, one-eyed man -- and the bloodbath he had taken in his Phoenix apartment.
"A male neighbor knocked on the door of the apartment to check on the 43-year-old suspect, whom he hadn't seen since the day before,” explained a department spokesman, and what he discovered "was an absolutely horrific scene."
When the unidentified occupant finally opened the door, his neighbor was shocked to see that he was not only newly-missing an arm and one of his eyeballs, but that the entire unit was covered in blood.
And that’s not all: When police arrived they found a decapitated woman stuffed in the self-mutilated suspect’s closet, and the bodies of two dismembered dogs.
Both the address and the “mentally ill” perpetrator, however, were familiar to officers, since cops had been called there on more than one occasion.
Detectives declined to release either the victim’s identity or the name of her crazed killer, and didn’t elaborate either on how they were related, stating only that "these two have a history of a domestic violence relationship."
The naked man, who severed his own limb and plucked out an eye during the psychotic episode, has been arrested, but had to be taken to a hospital for emergency surgery before he could be jailed.
