Police seeking a POI in the quadruple killing and mansion fire of a prominent Washington D.C. family are asking the public for help in apprehending the suspect.
The unidentified “person of interest” toting a white object is seen on surveillance video which officials released this weekend in hopes that the individual will be recognized.
That POI is believed to have stabbed and bludgeoned millionaire exec Savvas Savopoulos, 46, and his wife Amy, 47, as well as the couple’s 10-year-old son Philip and their 57-year-old housekeeper.
The Savopoulos’ multimillion-dollar residence, which is virtually a stone’s throw from Vice President Biden’s, was set ablaze shortly after the quadruple homicide was committed.
Security footage shows a hooded suspect fleeing from the victims’ stolen vehicle, which was itself found torched, about 35-miles from the crime scene.
No motive has been suggested for the gruesome murders and arson, but D.C. police -- together with the ATF -- continue to investigate, and are offering a $25,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
