SO WHAT: Pink Concert Not a Crime

Apr 26, 2015

A NJ judge says a Pink concert is perfectly OK for young kids to attend and “so what” to an estranged father who petitioned the court to punish the rad mother of his rocking child for abuse of parental discretion.

Evidently the couple has recently divorced and the more-than-a-little-miffed man was hoping to prove something in their ugly custody battle.

So, when he found out his ex wife had brought their 12-year-old daughter to a rock and roll concert last December starring the famed pink lady herself, he jumped at a chance to prove his former spouse an unfit custodian.

That not only got the disgruntled dad judiciously rebuffed now, but a 37-page decision touting the virtues of pop music and condemning the misuse of the judicial system by feuding parents.

Superior Court Judge Lawrence Jones stated that exposing the preteen to Pink’s songs and sometimes suggestive lyrics, "in no way, shape or form exceeded the boundaries of reasonable parental judgment."

"To the contrary,” the judge concludes: “When all the smoke from the custody litigation clears, it will be self-evident that all which happened here is that a young girl went to her first rock concert with her mother and had a really great time."

And, to those ends, a Pink concert was the ideal venue. (Period.)
