Suge Knight Must Stand Trial (sez the judge)

Apr 16, 2015

A bummed out Suge Knight just learned he will indeed have to go to trial on murder and attempted-murder charges borne of his fatal hit and run incident last January.

Focusing on the testimony of victim/survivor, Cle “Bone” Sloan, the judge presiding over preliminary hearings in the criminal case informed the onetime big-time rapper today to prepare his defense, if any.

Bone Sloan already admitted to investigators on the evening of the deadly confrontation that he’d attacked Knight in a nearby club, but has since been an iffy-at-best witness for the prosecution.

Not the least because the wealthy musician he’s accused of deliberately mowing him over, as well as his murdered cohort, also has known gang affiliations.

In fact, witness Sloan had to be subpoenaed to provide his testimony at all, and, once he actually coughed it up -- in painfully laborious and dodgy Q and A sessions -- the judge remarked, "I find this witness is being deceptive."

Nevertheless, what has at last emerged throughout the tooth-pulling-like court proceedings is a very strong likelihood that Knight’s act of vehicular manslaughter, following on the heels of the club fight, was far from accidental.

So, if 50-year-old Suge Knight can offer an explanation for what he was doing brawling in a disco in the first place, AND can explain how that altercation ended in murder and attempted-murder, then that’s what the old man of hip hop now has to do.

Or join a long roster of talented colleagues similarly convicted of such senseless crimes.
