The infamous atomic wedgie killer has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the strange strangulation of his stepfather using the elastic of the victim’s own underwear.
Oklahoma oddball Brad Davis pleaded guilty in May to the unusually brutal slaying and, alternately, begged the court for leniency, which he didn’t get this week.
The 35-year-old was charged early in January 2014 for first-degree manslaughter after admitting he bludgeoned his victim and then, for good measure, asphyxiated him with the stretch-band of a pair of briefs the man was wearing.
Investigators said the two had been boozing it up together around the holidays, when the drunken 58-year-old reportedly began insulting the defendant’s mom, resulting in the deadly assault on him.
Davis’s bigmouth stepdad was later found dead with his skull bashed in and his undies in a twist around his throat, according to the county coroner; in a weird crime of passion that, ever since then, has been popularly referred to as the “atomic wedgie.”
