An undercover cop killed an innocent bystander in a street shootout that erupted over an arms deal gone afoul this weekend in the Bronx.

The plainclothesman was rendezvousing with a suspected gunrunner he was attempting to ensnare with a cash transaction, but was instead robbed at gunpoint by the man’s criminal associate as he sat in a car.

The unidentified individual then fled on foot, but when he saw he was being pursued by the undercover lawman exchanged gunshots with him.

The armed robber was hit three times and survived, but 61-year-old onlooker Felix Kumi got caught in the crossfire and died this morning of bullet wounds to the torso, an NYPD spokesman has confirmed.

The original target of the sting was later apprehended and faces gun and drug charges.
