Swedish officials say school victims of the Darth Vader swordsman (shown below) initially thought his Star Wars villain costume was a Halloween hoax, until he started stabbing people with real blades.
Yesterday’s knifing attack on the Kronan middle-school in Trollhatan left a male teacher dead at the scene and three other victims with serious stab wounds -- one of whom has since passed away.
Officers responded Thursday morning to reports of a masked attacker armed with a sword “knocking on classroom doors” and confronted the 21-year-old suspect in the cafeteria, shooting at him twice.
He was mortally wounded by one of those bullets and later died himself while being hospitalized.
The incident at a public school on the outskirts of the city of Goteborg is still under investigation today, but detectives said they've already searched the Darth Vader swordsman’s home and found “interesting” evidence there.
They’ve also determined that “the perpetrator had a racist motive when he committed the crimes at Kronan school,” singling out those he believed were immigrants.
