Sources in Texas think young kids left home alone by their parents were playing with an oven when they baked their baby sister to death in it.
The 19-month-old girl was found dead of extensive burns this week, and the siblings -- ages three to five -- are suspected in her gruesome death.
No criminal charges have yet been filed in the case which was tentatively ruled accidental.
The tragic incident reportedly occurred while the children’s pregnant mother was at work and their father was likewise away from the house.
According to neighbors, it wasn’t the only time the youngsters had been left to care for themselves.
Family members also expressed shock that the couple hadn’t notified any of them that their kids would be left in the home without adult supervision.
Cases of babies being baked to death are thankfully quite rare, although just this month a California mother was convicted for fatally microwaving her toddler daughter.
That infanticide, however, was determined to have been intentional.
