IRS Hack Attack (100,000+ robbed)

May 27, 2015

The IRS hack attack discovered this week allegedly compromised about 100,000+ taxpayers hoping to see a refund this year, but who more than likely have been scammed of what they are owed via their very own online recordkeeping

Investigators say this latest cyber security breach actually began in February of 2015, but was only recently discovered when a little known IRS affiliate site called “Get Transcript” started to exhibit unusually high usage.

To access the *secure* data stored there, hackers first had to obtain sensitive information like social security numbers and birth dates, so it’s still a mystery as to how many other websites may have additionally been mined.

As to who the shrewd identity thieves might be, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen said only that, “we’re confident these are not amateurs,” adding his suspicion that the data theft and cyber heist is linked to various “organized crime syndicates.”

He says all those Americans financially affected by the IRS hack attack of Get Transcript -- which ordinarily sees about 23-million legitimate document downloads per year -- have been discreetly notified.
