Canadian authorities say the body of Mitchell Veenhuis (below) has been found in his submerged vehicle, two weeks after the 22-year-old vanished without a trace.
The sunken car was retrieved from French Lake near Fredericton on October 28th, and his decomposing remains discovered inside it.
Mitchell Veenhuis was allegedly last seen alive on October 14th by his roommate, who said he left their shared residence in Clark’s Corner New Brunswick around 8:00 that evening, promising to “return shortly.”
He never did, and his family filed a missing persons report the following day when he also failed to show up for work.
Hundreds of searchers have been scouring the area from the moment Veenhuis uncharacteristically disappeared.
His cause of death has not been pinpointed yet, pending the results of an autopsy.
