Massachusetts police have arrested the mother of dead ‘Baby Doe’ Bella Bond (shown alive below) on suspicion that she and/or her boyfriend harmed the child, causing the toddler’s death.
Both suspects have criminal pasts and drug problems, detectives revealed, adding that they are waiting to take the BF into custody once he is released from drug-related treatments at a city hospital.
Records additionally reveal that the state’s infamous Department of Children and Families had intervened in Bella Bond’s care -- albeit obviously without success -- and removed other older children from Bond’s care.
Investigators stated earlier today that accused child and corpse abusers, Rachelle Bond and Michael McCarthy, offered slightly differing accounts of how the little girl died and was later dumped on Deer Island.
Naturally, each accused the other of being the perpetrator.
