Detroit’s infamous Freezer Mom told a judge today she was indeed guilty of murdering a son and daughter, but felt no remorse whatsoever about the chilling crimes because the kids were “demons.”
Mitchelle Blair, 36, was arrested this spring for cruelly killing both her 9-year-old son and a 13-year-old daughter, then placing the slain children in her freezer.
Their frozen bodies were inadvertently discovered in March when a sheriff’s deputy was delivering the family an eviction notice.
"I don't regret none of this," Blair belligerently informed the court today, while entering a guilty plea for both killings. "I don't feel no remorse for the death of those demons."
The defendant said the children were each tortured, murdered, and put in a deep freeze on separate occasions “for sexually molesting” their other siblings.
One was put to death by her in 2012; the other in 2014 -- but Blair noted that she only actually intended to kill the teenage girl.
The boy “accidentally” died after she forced him to drink glass-cleaning fluid, following days of extreme physical abuse and privations.
Freezer Mom now faces life in prison without parole, although she has repeatedly stated she would have accepted the death penalty instead, had it been available in the state of Michigan.
