HUMAN BONES IN FIRE PIT: Another Serial Killer in Ohio?

Sep 4, 2015

Burnt bones fortuitously found in a fire pit last month have been confirmed to be those of a young woman missing since July 23rd.

Alesha Bell, 18, vanished while walking to a relative’s house in the town of Warren, and her charred remains were recovered 30 miles away in the village of Roaming Shores.

The rural property belongs to 40-year-old accused drug trafficker James Brooks, who has a lot of explaining to do now that he’s in police custody on suspicion of murdering the teen, tampering with evidence, and abusing her corpse.

Some of the bone fragments discovered in Brooks’ backyard pit were DNA tested and matched that of Bell’s family members, which is how her missing persons case was ultimately solved.

But investigators have a handful of other similarly missing females whose disappearances they think may also be linked to the arrested dealer.

So “the investigation is ongoing and it’s going to take some time,” a police spokesman told reporters yesterday.

Prime suspect James Brooks therefore remains behind bars, despite pleading ‘not guilty’ to all the criminal charges in Bell’s disappearance and homicide, as well as for the burning of her body.

Much further south though, in Chillicothe Ohio, another elusive serial killer who’s thought to be responsible for the suspicious disappearances and deaths of at least six women still remains anonymous and at large.
