Human remains found this summer in the wall of the last apartment Raven Campbell lived in before vanishing in 2009 have been positively identified as those of the missing woman.
How they got there, and what caused Campbell’s passing in the first place, are two important aspects of her cold case still under investigation, according to a law enforcement spokesman in Los Angeles.
“We’re interested in everything about the residence -- from the time Raven lived there until the time that we found her,” he said. “It begins with a missing-persons investigation.”

Authorities are also interested in the individual who called Campbell’s family this year with an anonymous tip that the body of their missing relative had in fact been concealed within the wall of her own home.
Until all those outstanding questions are finally answered, however, the coroner’s autopsy on Raven Campbell and other medical findings will remain sealed on “security” concerns.
The cheerful, trusting and developmentally disabled 32-year-old was first reported missing from the Harbor Hills Housing Project in Lomita CA over six years ago.
Throughout the on-again off-again probe into her whereabouts and fate, loved ones adamantly insisted that she could have only vanished from the face of the earth as a result of foul play … which, more than obviously, was the case.
