The grinning GOP lawmakers shown below are Tim Kelly and Tara Mack; ticketed on August 25th by a ranger who caught the adulterous lovers doing some heavy duty petting at the state park he was patrolling.
Recognizing they were #busted big time, the powerful Minnesota representatives then set about smearing the officer -- in their insane cover up scheme publicly calling the man “a liar” and even threatening to bring criminal charges against him.
That misconduct, and their subsequent payment of fines related to the illegal and illicit act he caught them doing at Lebanon Hills Regional Park, has gotten Kelly and Mack in even more trouble now:
The two were forced to apologize and resign from the House Ethics Committee on Monday. In short, because their political colleagues believe that the two-timing lawmakers are themselves incapable of behaving ethically.
“After serious reflection on the last two weeks, I can say that I am disappointed in myself for the way I handled my disagreement with a park ranger,” Tim Kelly announced yesterday, with Tara Mack chiming in that she had the “utmost respect” for law enforcement.
Their raunchy episode is similar to the total career meltdowns last week of lying, cheating Tea Party republicans Todd Courser and Cindy Gamrat.
These two disgraced Michigan State House members were also caught doing the hanky-panky behind their spouses’ backs, and then contriving an epically ridiculous cover up once the affair became obvious to their fellow lawmakers.
Gamrat was expelled from office and, following on the heels of her expulsion, Courser summarily resigned.
