Shown in the photo below, 30-year-old Martin Martinez is now a Person Of Interest in the multiple murder of three children and their parents at a single-family Modesto home over the weekend.
Investigators are asking the public to be on the alert for this POI and/or his red 2000 Lincoln Navigator with California plate number 7CNN611 and, if spotted, to call 911 immediately.
They also say they’re not sure at this point what Martinez’s personal connection to the slain family members may have been, but he is somehow linked to their deaths and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Homicide detectives only just began processing the crime scene because they were waiting for search warrants to be issued last night in order to reenter the residence.
Officers performing a welfare check initially discovered the victims’ bodies yesterday afternoon, but officials have not yet specified how the five individuals died, and a motive for the killings hasn’t been disclosed, either.
The neighborhood of Nob Hill in Central Valley near Modesto is considered quiet and relatively crime free, according to residents who’ve lived there awhile. So this weekend’s violence has caused great alarm.
