A 2015 Daytime Emmy winner has pleaded not guilty for stabbing a snarky young derider who mocked his career despite having received the coveted award.

Andre Salamán Bautista -- better known as producer Andre Bauth of “The Bay” fame -- was charged with assault and attempted murder for the September knife attack on his goading tenant/roommate.

“When he said ‘five Oscars’ we all kind of laughed a little bit and he got really upset,” Bautista’s 23-year-old victim Clayton Haymes told CBS this week. “I was terrified for my life. I’m just happy to be alive.”

The soap-opera suspect was out of the country at the time his arrest warrant was issued. He surrendered to authorities on September 17th at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City and was arraigned in Los Angeles yesterday.

An LAPD spokesman said Colombian-born Emmy winner, Andre Bauth, remains jailed on $500,000 bond -- if convicted, he faces up to 13 years in prison.
